Job Title: General Production Worker
Job Description

As a Production Worker, you will play a key role in loading machinery according to order specifications for prefabricated houses. Primary tasks include marking and cutting lumber, assembling trusses, and ensuring conformity to prints.

Responsibilities

• Load machinery with lumber based on order specifications.
• Mark and cut lumber according to job requirements.
• Read and interpret blueprints to make required markings.
• Assemble trusses and panels, ensuring alignment and conformity to prints.
• Work in a team of up to 4 people to complete production tasks.
• Prepare finished goods for shipment.

Essential Skills

• Proficiency with hand tools, including a framing hammer and tape measure.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
• Experience in carpentry, rough carpentry, and woodworking.
• Ability to operate saws and other power tools.
• Physical ability to lift 25+ lbs.
• Strong attendance, attitude, and effort.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Comfortable using a framing hammer.
• Attention to detail in inspection and assembly.

Work Environment

The work environment is a blend of a lumber yard, warehouse, and manufacturing facility. It is an open-air facility with ample ventilation, featuring fans and open garage bay doors. The day shift runs Monday through Thursday from 6 AM to 4:30 PM, Friday from 6 AM to 2:30 PM, and every other Saturday for 4-8 hours.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Shelbyville, Kentucky.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $17.50 - $17.50/hr.
