Position Overview: As the Director of Housekeeping, you will be entrusted with overseeing the day-to-day operations of the housekeeping department, ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness, safety, and service are upheld throughout the property. This is a leadership role where you will manage a team of dedicated professionals and collaborate closely with other departments to create an exceptional experience for our guests.
Key Responsibilities:
Direct and manage all housekeeping operations, including staffing, training, and scheduling.
Develop and implement effective housekeeping policies, procedures, and quality standards.
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, as well as sustainability and environmental initiatives.
Monitor inventory of supplies and equipment, ordering as necessary.
Lead and motivate the housekeeping team, providing feedback, coaching, and development opportunities.
Coordinate with other departments to ensure seamless operations and guest satisfaction.
Create and manage departmental budgets, ensuring cost controls and efficiency.
Qualifications:
Proven experience in a leadership role within the housekeeping or hospitality industry.
Strong organizational and communication skills.
In-depth knowledge of housekeeping best practices and standards.
Ability to work well under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
A hands-on approach with a focus on delivering superior guest service.
A degree or certification in hospitality management is a plus.
